This project is funded by the World Bank and implemented by Red Oak in partnership with IRC. It addresses the heightened risks of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) for women and girls in Beirut and Mount Lebanon. Focusing on survivors and those at risk, particularly migrants, domestic workers, and refugees, the project conducted a comprehensive needs assessment to identify risks and challenges in accessing GBV services. The project is in close collaboration with GBV shelters involving key organizations such as KAFA, ABAAD, Tabitha, and Caritas. Interviews with case workers, shelter coordinators, and survivors of GBV informed the findings. The project's public sensitization campaign, shaped by insights from the needs assessment, focused on survivors' experiences with the main aim of advocating for the voices of GBV survivors. The public sensitization campaign launched and disseminated on social media reached 165,490 individuals. Additionally, gender-based violence awareness sessions were conducted, benefiting 75 women and girls at risk.
