Success Stories from the Digital Competencies and Entrepreneurship training program
We recently celebrated the success of our Digital Competencies and Entrepreneurship training program in Bar Elias, Bekaa. It was a day of sharing, learning, and showcasing the incredible talents of women and youth from our community.
Here’s what some of our participants had to say:
Farah Ali Al-Qattan, 19, a participant in digital safety sessions organized by the Red Oak Association, shared that the experience significantly enhanced her understanding of digital technology and its effective use, including marketing and showcasing products. She appreciated learning about new applications and the importance of Google in a clear and enjoyable manner.
Rania Marai Al-Shammouri, 45, a homemade food producer, attended a peer-to-peer information exchange session on digital safety organized by Mondo. The session expanded her understanding of Facebook and Instagram and taught her how to use social media for marketing her products, as well as how to photograph them correctly and manage finances.
Subhiyya Abdul Razzaq Al-Zein, 48, a housewife, attended a peer-to-peer information exchange session. She gained a broader understanding of applications and social media, which is valuable for her since her teenage sons are interested in these areas. Most importantly, she learned how to protect her children and herself from digital risks.
Aisha Hammoud, 46, a housewife, attended the digital safety sessions and found them very useful. She discovered new applications and improved her computer skills, feeling satisfied with how the training has empowered her in using technology.
Maryam Hassan Al-Falahah, 17, joined Red Oak’s training on digital topics and learned about digital safety, various applications, and how to create a Gmail account, which has been very valuable to her.
Fatima Obeid, 35, a housewife, joined the digital safety training to learn computer usage. She found the course incredibly beneficial, gaining clear and comprehensive knowledge that now allows her to teach her children about the internet's benefits and risks.
